St. Dunstan’s will host our community partners for a presentation about the needs in our community and what organizations are doing to respond. Each month St. Dun’s Buns, our baking guild, gives away nearly $1,000 to support local agencies serving the needs of those often on the margins.
Beginning on Sunday, February 22 and lasting until Sunday, March 29, one organization will offer a presentation each Sunday evening with Q&A about what work they’re doing in the community.
The presentation starts at 6pm in the nave and lasts about thirty minutes. People are invited to stay after the presentation for a soup supper with more opportunity for engagement. There is no charge for the event and soup.

March 8: Lutzie 43
Philip Lutzenkirchen, former Auburn football stand-out who’s impact went far beyond the football field, lost his life as a passenger in a distracted, impaired and unsafe driving crash in June of 2014. The Lutzie 43 Foundation exists to reduce the number of distracted driving incidents, ultimately diminishing the number of deaths caused by unsafe driving. The foundation fulfills this mission by encouraging and empowering people to be positive ambassadors for safe driving, carried out through our 43 Key Seconds initiative. They aim to encourage and empower all drivers to be positive ambassadors for safe driving through character development, mentorship and real-world application.

This is a foundation for the people and with the people. Their purpose is to cultivate the next generation of innovators, leaders, and change-makers through the arts and service.
Good morning,
My name is Juliette and I am serving at the Lee County Literacy Coalition, a non-profit organization here in Opelika. I saw where you give away nearly $1000 to support local agencies serving the needs of the community. Can you please give any details so that I can share with my team.
